He went to school in Comfort until he went to Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Here he met Lera Patrick Tyler. After attending Universität Wien in Vienna, Austria, the two got married. After college, Glen and Lera Lich moved to Austin, Texas; Monterey, California; Junction City, Kansas; San Marcos, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana; Kerrville, Texas; and finally to Waco, Texas where he presently resides. She grew up in the small town of Overton, and attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas where she met and was married to Glen Ernst Lich. In 1971 the couple moved to Austin, Texas where they lived for one year. Lera Lich then moved to Monterey, California; Junction City, Kansas; San Marcos, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana; Kerrville, Texas (where she lived when she got her M.A. from the University of New Orleans); and finally to Waco, Texas where she presently resides. 4 ERNST PERRY LICH, Conservation Contracter and Farmer-Rancher on the Cypress Creek in the Hill Country in Texas(* Cypress Creek 11.ix.1926 ƒ Kerrville, Texas on 23.vi.1945 to Susan Woolfley): Ernst Perry Lich was born one the Cypress Creek, where he lived all his life. He moved once, about a mile downstream. Perry Lich met Susan Woolfley whom he married when he was eighteen. He began his own business as a conservation contractor in 1959. He served as a 4-H leader, community director, and chamber of commerce member. After she married when she was eighteen to Ernst Perry Lich, she spent the next ten years of her life working on her home. She served as a 4-H adult leader in public speaking, wildlife, and conservation. 6 CLIFTON MAXWELL TYLER, Railroad Telegraph Operator and Insurance Agent (* Sabine Parish, Louisiana 19.vi.1905 ~~ Methodist Church in Sabine Parish, Louisiana ƒ First Methodist Church in Overton, Texas on 1.vi.1946 to Cecile Bettie McCann Ý 1.x.1980 × Overton Cemetery 3.x.1980): Clifton Maxwell Tyler, a sickly child, started school when he was seven. He became a telegrapher for the railroads, and married eighteen days before his forty-first birthday. In 1961 Cliff Tyler was liscensed as an isurance agent and started working for Farmers Insurance Group. He retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad in 1967, and from Farmers Insurance Group in 1973. He lived in Overton until his death. Children: Lera Patrick (1948- ) (married Glen Ernst Lich) 7 CECILE BETTIE MCCANN, Elementary School Teacher (* Hammond, Tangipahoo Parish on 11.vii.1911 ~~ Plesant Spring Presbyterian Church in Rusk County, Texas during summer 1928 ƒ First Methodist Church in Overton, Texas on 1.vi.1946 to Clifton Maxwell Tyler): Celcile Bettie McCann, the oldest daughter of George Early McCann and Erin Leah Patrick, started school when she was seven years old. She grauated in 1930, but had to wait a year during the Great Depression to get enough money to go to college. Cecile McCann graduated from Stephen F. Autin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas when she was twenty-four, and started teaching in the Patrick Community where she had grown up. She later taught in Nacogdoches Texas, and then in Overton, Texas where she married Clifton Maxwell Tyler. Two and a half years later their only child, Lera Patrick Tyler, was born. She was a short, vivacious person with light brown hair and hazel eyes. She moved from New Orleans to San Antonio after she had two daughters, and lived there until she died. 12 THOMAS ANDREW TYLER, Farmer in Sabine Parish, Louisiana (* Sabine Parish, Louisiana 24.v.1867 ƒ Sabine Parish in 1902 to Keziah Maxwell Franklin Ý Zwolle, Sabine Parish, Louisiana 25.iv.1942 × Bayou Scie, Sabine Parish, Louisiana): Thomas Andrew Tyler was beloved and respected wherever he lived. He was a religous leader and a community worker. He help to build the Bethsaida Methodist Church, and he died in Zwolle, Louisiana, where he lived for the last fifteen years of his life. "Kizzie" finished her schooling when she was fouteen years old, four year after her father's death. She married when she was twenty-five to Thomas Andrew Tyler, a widower. When her husband died after almost forty years of marriage, she moved to Shreveport, Louisana, where she lived the rest of her life. 14 GEORGE EARLY MCCANN, Farmer, Gin Operator, and Carpenter (* Jones County, Georgia 2.ix.1880 ƒ Rev. McComick's residence in the Patrick Community of Rust County, Texas 1.vi.1910 to Erin Leah Patrick Ý Longview, Gregg County, Texas 27.vii.1964 × Boynton Cemetery in Panola County, Texas): When he was two or three years old, George Early McCann moved from Jones County, Georgia to Longbranch, Panola County, Texas. He was raised on a farm, so he became a farmer after he grew up. He was also a carpenter and later, after he married, a ginner in the Partick Community. He married Erin Leah Patrick and moved in 1910 to Hammond, Tangapoo Parish, Louisana where he lived for a year. Then he moved to Garrison, Shelby County, Texas for two years. After that he returned to the Patrick Community, where he lived when he lost all in savings in the bank in 1929. After the depression, in 1947, he moved to Henderson, Rusk County, Texas. She was raised by an aunt and a Negro who had formerly been a slave. When she was in the sixth grade, she was expected to keep the home. Then she married George Early McCann and lived to Hammond, Tangapoo Parish, Louisana from 1910-1911. Then Erin Leah McCann moved to Garrison, Shelby County, Texas for two years. After that she returned to the Patrick Community, where she lived until 1947, when she moved to Henderson, Rusk County, Texas.
